Richard Brisbois' debut album "Anytime You Think About Her" is deceptively lo-fi. Brisbois deftly places subtle layers of sonic ambiance throughout the record, using layered sounds to voice the narrative. The acoustic and electric, slide and bass guitars, keys, mandolin, light drums and percussion, ambient sounds and sing-along melodicism recall the best of early REM and Jeff Tweedy's Wilco.
